Our Orthodontic Services

We know that choosing to receive orthodontic care is no small matter. That’s why we respect your decision to allow us to help you improve the way you look and feel. Our team wants everyone who comes to see us at our Palm Beach Gardens location to have the best experience possible. We provide the following services:

Orthodontic Services For Teens

Right now, your teen is at the ideal age for addressing orthodontic concerns because it’s easier to reposition teeth and jaws while they’re still growing. Don’t make the mistake of waiting for problems to resolve on their own, as they will worsen over time.

Our teen orthodontic services in Palm Beach, Gardens, will lead your teenager down a path towards straight and healthy teeth, with less risk of pain, tooth decay, gum disease, and injuries.

Braces are the most common orthodontic treatment. Your teen should see an orthodontist in Palm Beach Gardens if they experience any of the following problems:

  • Self-esteem or self-confidence issues stemming from their smile
  • Difficulty biting or chewing
  • Too much space between teeth
  • Dental bite problems (Crossbite, underbite, etc.)
  • Overcrowded teeth
  • Teeth that meet abnormally
  • Jaws that shift or make noise

If you wait too long for these dental problems to be treated, it can end up being costly and affect your teen’s health.

Orthodontic Services For Adults

Although many people think that orthodontics is only for teenagers and children 1 in 4 (20%) of patients receiving orthodontic treatments are adults! Orthodontics has been proven to be an excellent treatment for adults struggling with issues they may have had since childhood.

While people may have received treatment during their teenage years, due to factors such as limitations with their original treatment, some may require more treatment as an adult.

Today’s advancements in orthodontic technology have made it possible to treat adults with a variety of dental problems, ranging from crooked and overcrowded teeth, misalignment, jaw pain, etc.

What Are The Advantages Of Adults Having Orthodontic Treatment?

At Palm Beach Orthodontics, we’re proud to provide many adults in the Palm Beach Gardens area to improve their smiles. There are several advantages for adults orthodontic treatment. These include:

  • Realigning teeth and bite for a more beautiful and aesthetically pleasing smile.
  • Correction of original orthodontic treatment because of failure to wear a retainer and teeth moved.
  • Improvement of overlapping or crowded teeth.
  • Improving bite, wear and tear, and chewing ability by realigning the jaw.
  • Addressing any missing teeth and closing existing gaps.

Leaving misaligned teeth untreated may lead to other dental problems such as tooth decay and gum disease. Receiving treatment from our orthodontist in Palm Beach Gardens, FL can help.

Braces

Today, there are more orthodontic treatment options and different kinds of braces available for teenagers and adults. Conventional/modern braces utilize metal brackets and wires to correct the widest array of dental issues including bite issues, as well as, crowded teeth, gaps in the teeth, and straightening teeth, and correcting jaw misalignment.

Invisalign

Many of today’s treatment options are designed to minimize the appearance of the appliance to better fit any lifestyle. Teenagers and adults can be self-conscious about their appearance, which makes them hesitant to get traditional braces.

3D images of your teeth are used to create a pair of custom see-through trays that fit a person’s teeth and mouth. Invisalign clear aligners are clear retainer-like dental appliances, that will essentially do the same thing as metal braces, which are to effectively be molded to move one’s teeth into the correct position and alignment.

The aligners are a great alternative option for teens who are self-conscious about the appearance of their teeth because they are clear and practically invisible to the eye when on someone’s teeth.

Invisalign does take less time to align your teeth than traditional metal brackets and wires, but it depends on various factors how long it will take to correct one’s smile, so it’s important to consult with your orthodontist about what’s best for you and your teeth.

Traditional Braces Or Invisalign?

Our team of orthodontists will help you determine the right choice of braces based on your individual needs and goals. It’s important to remember that everyone is different, and therefore, what may work best for you may not work for others.
